Wednesday Night Pizza

When & Where

Wednesdays (September – May)
3:45 – 5:45 pm*
5:30 – 7:15 pm**
Shepherd of the Valley (Narthex/Atrium)

Each shift will have 2 adult cashiers and 2 youth that will serve and prep food and drinks.

*For the first shift, volunteers will help set-up and cut pizzas. Pizza starts selling at 4:00 pm.

**For the second shift, pizza stops selling at 7:00 pm, from 7:00 pm – 7:15 pm volunteers will be cleaning up and putting items away. If you are participating at a 7:00 pm program, please let Rose know so she can find someone to fill in for the clean-up time.

What to Expect

Youth Volunteers:

Putting out and replacing pizza, snacks/candy, and drinks throughout the shift
Cutting pizza evenly before setting it out
Serve people food and drinks as they go through the line
Keeping pizza station clean
Keeping pizza in warmer during slow times

Adult Volunteers:

Must stay by the cashier throughout shift
Help people with their total amount owed and give the right amount of change back
Help youth prepare pizza and clean up at end of night

Adult Pizza Lead:

Set-up for Pizza Fellowship (i.e. drinks, snacks, cashier supplies, pizza serving supplies)
Be available throughout the shift for the volunteers in case questions arise or extra hands are needed
Throughout the shift keep an eye on stock on the tables; replenish if needed and take inventory at the end of the night
Count and turn in the Petty Cash and Profits at the end of the night
Train in new volunteers, both youth and adults

Why Volunteer:

Volunteers will earn credits that can be used towards a merit scholarship for Off-Site Summer Immersion Trips and Camps (including Wapo)!

On average, $10-$16 earned per credit
Note: Credits must be used for summer 2025 Off-Site trips/camps. Credits do not carry over into next school year. Use it or lose it in the Summer of 2025!
