What to Expect

For many genealogists, crossing the pond to find an ancestor’s place of origin in the old country is an insurmountable brick wall. This presentation offers examples of American records that can break down that barrier.

Elizabeth Williams Gomoll holds certification from the Board for Certification of Genealogists and is co-editor of the Generations quarterly journal. Liz is President of the Association for Professional Genealogists Northland Chapter and has served on the boards of the Minnesota Genealogical Society Board of Directors and the Swedish Genealogical Society of Minnesota. Liz published a collection of WWI letters and photographs called With Love to All, and co-authored a guide called Husförhörslängder, Swedish Household Examination Records

She does client research and lectures professionally as Red Bird Genealogy Services (www.RedBirdGen.com). In addition, Liz plays flute and piccolo professionally and holds a private pilot’s license.
