(2018) Realm is our new database and online ministry tool designed to help our church connect better. Realm allows you to manage your personal information and who is allowed to see it, manage your giving, and keep in touch with the groups that matter to you.
Why use Realm?
Through Realm, everyone can be connected from anywhere at any time, using our computers or mobile devices. It will help staff stay organized and keep you informed about the opportunities for connection that interest you.
What about privacy?
Realm is only made up of the people connected to our church; it’s not like a social network that’s open to everyone. Realm keeps your data safe and gives you control over what information you share and who can see it.
What can I do in Realm?
Once you login, you can:
- Add a picture to your profile
- Update your contact information (and make sure we have your preferred email and phone)
- Update your privacy settings
- Verify your family member’s information (Let us know if you have adult children who no longer live at home, we can update their information)
- Give online (you can give once or set up recurring giving) {Learn more}
- View your giving history
- Post comments or photos to your groups
- Find new groups to join
- RSVP to a group activity
- Register for events
How do I get started?
If we have the correct email for you in our church database, you should have received an invitation to join Realm on May 29. Once you’ve created a password, you can download the app (see step 2 below).
If you haven’t received an invitation to join Realm yet, you can follow these steps to create an account (you won’t be able to see your giving history until we link this account with your account in our file):
- Visit www.onrealm.org/sotv and choose “register now” to set up a Realm login.
- Download the app at http://onelink.to/connectapp or search for “
Connect –Our Church Community” by ACS Technologies through the app store. - Your Realm login works on your home computer and on your mobile devices. When you sign into Realm, use the login you created in step 1 to log in through a web browser, or to log in to the app the first time.
- Check to make sure that we have your address and other personal information entered correctly under My Profile. If anything is incorrect, you can change it.
