Reading and reflecting on scripture is a practice we do with our sight, our minds, and our whole body! This Advent you can read, talk, and move your way through scripture—using either the traditional Bible texts, or the stories found in the Spark Story Bible.
Parents, use your own discretion when it comes to your kids. If content is rated for certain ages then we will indicate that. Enjoy!

Read Luke 2:19: “…and Mary treasured all these words and pondered them in her heart.”
Reflect: How might you “treasure” (cherish or appreciate) or “ponder” (think or wonder about) the words that tell the story of Jesus’ birth? Think of one or two ways you plan to spend time with these words in the Bible.
Pray: “Dear God, as we once again tell the story that leads to Jesus’ birth, help us to experience it in new and wonderful ways. Amen.”
Bless: Trace a cross on each other’s shoulder, hand, or head and say “[Name], you are a beloved child of God.”
