The Pre-K/Kindergarten Bible Blessing GIFT Event is a QUICK, HANDS-ON, and FUN way to start learning about and using your bible at home!

When you promise at baptism to placing the Word of God into your child’s hands and teaching it to them, it can feel like an overwhelming commitment. You’re not alone! Shepherd of the Valley gifts a Spark Story Bible to each 3-Year Old and new child through 3rd grade as our way of supporting your family in that promise, and this event will help you with practical and easy ways to share in the stories of God together at home.

Please plan to attend worship at the service hour either BEFORE or AFTER your registered time in order to participate in the bible blessing together. We will gather between services in the Nursery for playful stations and sharing easy resources.

You are encouraged to bring your child’s Spark Story Bible with you for this event if you already have one, and one can be provided for your child if they have not yet received a gifted copy from SOTV.

Each registered child will also receive a gift to take home that will help you build faith and use your bibles at home!

Shepherd of the Valley is committed to welcoming people of all abilities and working to understand and meet the needs of our congregation.
