Worship & Nursery Update
Over the past year, the Children, Youth, and Family staff, Pastors, and Executive Leadership gathered feedback through surveys, conversations, and observations about the experience of worshipping with kids at SOTV. Thank you to those who have participated and shared with us – we hear you!
Because of inconsistent nursery coverage, asks to support more ages, and more families wanting to worship together and get to know other families, we added a wider variety of worship resources with the worship bags this summer, and the play space just outside the Sanctuary.
Beginning October 6, we will also add a Supported Family Worship space where there will be room to move and play, and trained volunteers and staff available to help families worshipping together engage kids through the service.
In order to prepare for this, the last day of nursery childcare during worship was Sunday, September 8.
We are excited that this opportunity will allow us to provide more consistency each week, and more opportunities for families with children of all ages to know one another and to worship together. Please watch for additional details in the weeks to come, and contact kelsey.young@sotv.org with any questions.
Children age 3 and older are encouraged to attend worship or to register for Shepherd’s Kids Sunday School.
