And yet, poet laureate Johann Heerman is considered by some to be the most important chorale text writer between Martin Luther and Paul Gerhardt.

We want SOTV to share God’s love in tangible ways that have a positive, life-giving effect in people’s lives.
On behalf of the SOTV Call Committee and Church Council, we are pleased to announce a highly qualified candidate has been recommended and approved to serve as Care Pastor at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church! A special meeting of the congregation is being called to hold a vote to approve the congregational call. Everyone is encouraged to attend, and all confirmed members of SOTV are invited to vote. You must be present to vote.
For many, Shepherd of the Valley feels like a second home. Even when we can’t be here as often as we’d like, there is often a sense of being welcomed home when we walk through the doors.
In December, the physical structure of the Columbarium was completed. The final plantings and the water feature were finished in May.

Numbers are everywhere. There are courses and majors and jobs that focus solely on using and understanding numbers. Certainly when we think of budgets, we don’t expect to see much more than a list of numbers.
