The Synod Assembly convened on May 17-18 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi. The assembly highlighted the theme Both/And: Embracing the Great Commission and the Great Commandment. Twelve clergy and lay members of Shepherd of the Valley attended. During the assembly, one resolution was offered for adoption.

Brian Olson presented during a Men’s Community Breakfast on Saturday, February 16. Brian discussed his inside knowledge on the chaos of responding to federally declared emergencies such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and terrorism. Brian spoke about how he saw God at work through his experiences working with national and international agencies for emergency preparedness.
