Throughout September, the SOTV Food Shelf is collecting cleaning items. Please bring any donations in a paper bag to the metal shelf by door 3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
It’s the beginning of September, and it’s time to start thinking about going back to school. Except some of us have been thinking about this for months. What will school look like this year? Will we be in-person? Hybrid? Online? The changes brought by COVID-19 have affected every aspect of our lives, including school.
This weekend, we played a song in worship that was put together a couple months ago by the SOTV Worship Band: “In Christ Alone.”
“Psalm 26 Lord, in You Do I Trust” by Hal Hopson, performed by Chris and Johanna Hanssen
Have you recently added a pet to your family? Are you in the planning stages: deciding whether to look to a responsible breeder, rescue organization, or foster opportunity? Perhaps you are searching for strategies to ensure your pet’s well-being when family members return to work and school.
A group of 7 volunteers packed birthday bags for kids in need in our community. These 170 birthday bags (which include cake, frosting, candles/balloons, cups/plates/napkins, party favors and invitations) will be distributed to the following organizations: SOTV Food Shelf, Rosemount Family Resource Center, Southside Family Nurturing Center, People’s Inc., and All Nations Indian Church. Thank you to everyone who donated supplies/money or volunteered for this ministry. Surely there will be some happy young faces as a result.
