SOTV has been participating in this outreach ministry for many years. This local ministry helps bring affordable housing to low income families in the Twin Cities. Participation on a Habitat build project is like being part of a relay team. Each group has a vital role to play in getting the finished product across the finish line! The house SOTV volunteers were working on is sponsored by Thrivent Financial. Each week, a group of 8-10 volunteers from different churches and organizations come together to pick up where the previous team left off.

SOTV has a partnership with Falcon Ridge Middle School and Sheridan Story helping to supply kids with food for the weekends. We provide volunteers and finances toward this effort. We are waiting to hear what the volunteer schedule will be for the 2020-21 school year, with hybrid learning. Typically…

Thank you to all the generous donors who contributed, and to all the amazing volunteers who sorted, packed, and delivered supplies. School supplies and hygiene kits went to nine local organizations, including multiple District 196 schools, Rosemount Family Resource Center, The Link, Love One Another, MOMS, People Inc, and Lincoln Place.

The kick-off video was entertaining and educational, sharing stories of who benefits and why it’s important to help others. Many thanks to those who both participated in an activity (since ‘Do Something’ was our theme) and to those who gave financially!
