But this is a different Christmas…No kid’s program. No OKs lunch. No staff potluck with sartorially questionable seasonal garments. Not 10 worship services, but one, online. Maybe two in-person. Maybe. It won’t be the same, and we will miss the cherished traditions and familiar routines. But the season will not lose its meaning nor the night its holiness. Because in the end, Christmas doesn’t depend on what we do or don’t do, much as we might love all of it. It’s a gift, of course. From God to us. The gift of God for us.
All volunteers will be safely spaced apart, training is provided, and volunteers should be prepared to be outdoors. Volunteers are needed during the day Tuesdays – Fridays. Find shift dates/times and details/roles online.
Throughout December, the SOTV Food Shelf is collecting canned goods. Please bring any donations in a paper bag to the metal shelf by door 3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
“And the Glory of the Lord” by G.F. Handel, performed by the SOTV Senior Choir
