We made the commitment of raising $4,000 for 360 Communities Armful of Love campaign which gives recipients the ability to purchase their family’s groceries and holiday gifts.
With your $25 gift card donations, we not only met – but EXCEEDED – our goal, collecting over $10,000! Your individual donations will make a huge impact on so many families in our communities this holiday season.
Throughout November, the SOTV Food Shelf is collecting Thanksgiving foods. Please bring donations in a paper bag (preferably with handles) to SOTV while the building is open.
Hispanic Heritage Days were celebrated at the MN Zoo by members of Racial Truth and Justice Group and others on September 18 (2022). The MN Zoo honored Hispanic Heritage through music, food, and dance throughout the weekend of September 17/18.
Beautiful dancing was provided by children, young adults, and adults. The Racial Truth and Justice Group enjoyed many features and animal exhibits at the zoo. A volunteer provided the group with specific facts for each animal exhibit viewed!
You have gathered at Shepherd of the Valley, and you have been loved. Maybe it was the first time you visited, and maybe it was during a difficult time. In many ways, Shepherd of the Valley’s pastors and community has been a loving home that you’ve been grateful for. Now you can send that love forward. By supporting SOTV’s Endowment Fund, you can be a central part of our mission to welcome all into community…for generations to come.
It can be difficult to think about the end of our life. We might ask questions like, “Where will we live?” “What will our health be like?” “How will my family cope?” These are big questions that may cause you to feel big emotions. Planning can help calm our fears and anxieties by thinking through each step, particularly when we are accompanied through the process by caring people. Making end of life plans can serve as a kindness to your family members, so that they are not left to wonder and manage things after we are gone.
