In April, 8 members of the Purposeful Retirement Affinity Service Group volunteered at GHM for the first time in over a year! The group resumed monthly volunteering at GHM in May (with a change to their schedule). The group will volunteer at GHM on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The upcoming dates are August 18 and September 15.

We are looking for volunteers to serve as leaders, in collaboration with our Outreach Coordinator, to oversee
the following programs and events: annual school supply drive, annual winter outerwear drive, annual birthday bag collection, and semi-annual Red Cross Blood Drive. Learn more!

Mariah Opheim is attending the University of Minnesota studying Early Childhood. She hopes to work in a school district with this age group one day. Monica Fredricks is attending North Dakota State University studying nursing. She would like to work as a pediatric nurse in a children’s hospital.

If you would have told me that our building would be closed during a pandemic for over a year and that during that time the people of this congregation would support our mission just as enthusiastically as they always have, I would have doubted, to say the least. But I should have known better.
