What to Expect

Learn practical strategies for reducing your fear of falling, changing your environment to reduce risks, and increasing your activity level to prevent falls. This evidence-based program meets for eight weeks and includes group discussion and exercise. All mobility levels are welcome, including those using a walker or wheelchair.

After you register, additional registration forms will be provided for you to fill out.

This class is for any adult who: 
  • Is concerned about falls
  • Has had a fall in the past
  • Restricts activities because of concerns about falling
  • Wants to improve flexibility, balance, and strength
What will you learn?
  • View falls and the fear of falling as controllable
  • Set realistic goals for increasing activity
  • Change environments to reduce risk factors
  • Use exercise to increase strength and balance
