Middle School Confirmation students have been asked to identify someone to be a mentor to them for the season of Lent to worship together and share in 1-on-1 conversations. Mentoring pairs will meet five (5) times between March 5 and April 16.
Why are we doing Lenten Mentoring?
We need volunteers who care about kids growing in their faith!
If for any reason a student isn’t able to find a mentor, they can choose to be matched with a volunteer mentor from the congregation. This is where you come in! Volunteer mentors make it possible for us to give every single confirmation student a mentor so they can have this awesome experience.
Mentor Orientation (mentors only) on either Sunday, Feb. 16 @ 1:00 pm or Wednesday, Feb. 19 @ 6:00 pm.
Mentoring Kick-Off (students AND mentors) on Wednesday, February. 26 during their confirmation hour.
Mentoring Pairs meet after worship five (5) times between March 5 and April 17. You will choose 5 from below with your partner:
March 5 | Ash Wednesday Worship (Noon, 5:30 pm, or 7:00 pm) |
March 12 | Lent Mid-Week Worship (4:30, 5:45, or 7:00 pm) |
March 19 | Lent Mid-Week Worship (4:30, 5:45, or 7:00 pm) |
March 26* | Lent Mid-Week Worship (4:30, 5:45, or 7:00 pm) |
April 2** | Lent Mid-Week Worship (4:30, 5:45, or 7:00 pm) |
April 9 | Lent Mid-Week Worship (4:30, 5:45, or 7:00 pm) |
April 16 | Holy Week Experience at your regular Confirmation hour |
April 17 | Maundy Thursday Worship at 7:00 pm |

Information packets include all of the components listed below and printed copies are available on the information wall inside Door #3 across from the CYF offices.
The deadline to sign up as a mentor is February 12! Volunteer mentors will be matched with a student prior to March 5.
