You have gathered at Shepherd of the Valley, and you have been loved. Maybe it was the first time you visited, and maybe it was during a difficult time. In many ways, Shepherd of the Valley’s pastors and community has been a loving home that you’ve been grateful for.
Now you can send that love forward. By supporting SOTV’s Endowment Fund, you can be a central part of our mission to welcome all into community…for generations to come. Through your support, you will be remembered as a person who made a positive contribution to the future. You’ll leave a legacy that tells future generations what you value most.
Here’s how it works:
An Endowment Fund is a permanent fund that uses the income from the assets to support the mission of a nonprofit organization like SOTV. The income from the Endowment fund is an extra boost that makes sure the resources are available to accomplish Shepherd of the Valley’s purpose by creating a permanent stream of income for the organization.
What has the Endowment Fund done?
So far, income from the Endowment Fund has sent kids to Camp Wapo, built worship space in Africa, sent students to Luther Seminary, helped improve SOTV’s welcome, and funded many other projects. Our community has contributed money to build the Endowment, and income from the Endowment has built priceless experiences for those who value them most.
So how can you help? Here are two ways:
- Designate a bequest to SOTV Endowment Fund in your will or estate plan
- Name the SOTV Endowment Fund as a beneficiary of your IRA or 401(k)
Taking these actions will help Shepherd of the Valley make a positive difference in peoples’ lives for generations to come! You can get more information about the Endowment Fund on the SOTV Website by clicking the Give button at the top of the main page (sotv.org/give) or pick up a brochure at SOTV next to the Welcome Desk.
Contribute today so they will prosper tomorrow.
