Grandparent Tiny Try-It-Out: The Bible

A Toolbox for Following Jesus
The Bible is a gift from God filled with stories about God’s people, beautiful poems and songs, advice on how to live a Christ-centered life, and so much more. It’s a “Toolbox” for following Jesus! Dig in to God’s word and find a treasure chest of tools to help you grow in faith.

Ideas for Grandparents

Consider these ideas for using The Bible: a Toolbox for Faith that you can incorporate into your own unique circumstances:

  • As a regular caregiver for little ones: Build a simple blanket fort (or a fancy one) and crawl inside with your little one to read stories from a children’s bible.
  • With older grandkids: Share this Bible Project video to explore the origins, content, and purpose of the Bible. Don’t let the animation fool you – this video is great for teens and adults.
  • At a family gathering: Challenge yourselves with this Bible Scavenger Hunt. Practice looking up verses and then completing the activities based on the clues!
  • From a distance: Ask family members of all ages, near and far, to share with you their favorite bible verse or passage. Make a list and share it with your family, with the encouragement to pick a verse to read each week.

How will you explore The Bible: a Toolbox for Faith with those you love?

Volunteer with Children
and Youth Programs

Serving with CYF during the program year is a fun and creative way to share your faith with others, live out your calling to be a part of God’s great work, and connect and grow in your own faith! It takes all kinds of gifts and talents to make these amazing programs happen, and we’d love to help everyone find their perfect fit!
