Consider these ideas for God’s Gifts that you can incorporate into your own unique circumstances:
- As a regular caregiver for little ones: Make a turkey with a tail of many talents! Think of ways you can use your talents (to serve in your community, at SOTV, or even ways you can support worship services) and write one thing on each tail feather. Each time you complete an activity, remove that feather from your turkey! See an example here.
- With older grandkids: Text/share a link to the video “The Reflection in Me” with your own version of this message: I hope that when you look in the mirror you see what I do: someone who is [kind, generous, brave, beautiful, etc]. You make this world a better place to be! God loves you more than you can imagine, and so do I.
- At a family gathering: Work together to think of at least one special talent you see in each person who is present. Write or draw them on this bag, or find another way to mark them and celebrate God’s gifts in your family.
- At church: Invite your grandkids to light the Advent Candles in worship with you.
How will you experience God’s Gifts with those you love?
