On Thursday, June 10 in the northern shade of the SOTV parking lot, 65 community members participated in the inaugural outdoor Community Prayer Gathering for Justice! We prayed for ISD 196, the Apple Valley Juneteenth event, and listened to an inspiring message from Pastor Sharon. The worship band performed a newly created song for this public gathering, Inclusive Love. We greeted each other with encouraging solidarity as promoted by the SOTV Racial Truth & Justice Team. Food Shelf donations were accepted with gratitude. An information table was available for participants who wished to engage in advocating for justice. Stay tuned for another opportunity to work and pray for justice!
