Dear friends of SOTV’s Tanzania Partnership,
We are excited to be entering our third decade of partnership with the Iringa Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania. Our relationship continues to be based on the three pillars of prayer, presence, and projects. For the first time in three years, some of us were able to be present with our brothers and sisters in Christ in Tanzania this summer. We were able to spend time together, pray together, and observe the projects in which we have worked together. What a blessing!
One of our proudest achievements during the past 21 years has been working Bega Kwa Bega with our sisters and brothers in Tanzania to provide scholarships for students. Hundreds of young people in the parishes of Makifu, Tungamalenga, and Usolanga have benefitted from your generous gifts and have advanced their educations far beyond what would otherwise be possible for them.
As always, secondary scholarship pledges are due by November 1, 2022. We therefore ask you to continue the generous support which SOTV has always provided to the scholarship program in Tanzania. You can make a world of difference to many young students, their families, and entire communities. It is truly Christianity in action.
Please write checks payable to SOTV with “Tanzania Scholarship” or “Tanzania General Fund” in the memo line or give online at sotv.org/give to the “Tanzania Gifts” fund with “Scholarship” or “General Fund” in the memo.
With deep gratitude,
SOTV Tanzania Partnership Committee
